Good morning everyone. I'm currently watching Griff exploring the South Downs. As usual he always makes me laugh. Especially trying to be A Morris Dancer.image

Another mild night - the lowest it got to was 9.1C  but it looks like another damp day ahead.

Hi Dove. Hope your mother was well. I love reading what you write about her.

  • G'day Pat image

Ma was very well thanks - somehow she'd buttoned her cardie buttonholes onto the buttons down the front of her dress - she was very proud that she'd managed it herself so the carers had left it as it was.

After I'd spent some time with Ma I travelled further down the coast and spent some time with my son image  .  On my journey home I'd travelled 20 miles when I realised I'd left my mobile phone on his table so had to turn around and go back   He'd found it of course and been wondering whether to drive after me, wrap it and put it in the post or just wait for me to realise and come back for it ... I'm glad he chose the latter.  image  I'll try not to do that again image

At least the cardie wouldn't have slipped off her shoulders!  Very clever of her.

that was lucky your phone hadn't been posted.

i forget what you said about your brothers trip. Is he already on the way?  He'd be very welcome to visit if he goes somewhere near Canberra.image

  • Think he's in Sri Lanka at the moment and should be in Australia any day now - he's not told me much about his plans (he's not a great communicator) but from what I've gathered  they'll be spending a fair bit of time with our cousins in Tas - he probably won't be in touch with me and I'll only contact him if necessary as I'm sure he can do without his mobile ringing on holiday, but if I get to hear that he's your way I'll certainly mention it ...... you're very kind image

Hubby has been at it againimageimage

Vanilla currant cookies and Ginger nuts. Instead of currants, he used some crisis ins. He claims that its all the fault of people talking about gingernuts.
