  • Hello all,

Very disappointed, back too bad to even jog, very frustrated. image

Have collected turkey and OH has lodged me in a cafe while he & Charlie go & buy me a Christmas present. I do hope the turkey is tasty, it cost 47 euros and is only 3kg.

House as tidy as can be with back handicap, why does everything have to fall on floor just when you can't bend down?????

You all sound like you are ready to enjoy Christmas in your own ways, enjoy, I think I might have a little 'something' in my coffee, purely medicinal of course.

Hope Flynn is OK and vet can help him and also hope you find FIL knashers Chicky. Good wishes to all. image

    Gorgeous cake Lesley image

Older fairylet has decorated her cake so I'll try and get a pic and put it on later.

Very chilly here and had lots of hail and sleet.

Thanks for all the kind comments about the poem. It started as a jokey thought and then I just couldn't leave it alone...image image

I hope if doc looks in, he'll take a look at it and hopefully it might cheer him a little. The famous KEF hotpants were mainly for  his amusement image

I'll have to go out and get a couple of things before assaulting the chicken with some bacon and seasoning, and making the rest of our Christmas dinner. Hope it's not too horrendous image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Well, that's Christmas dinner finished. We had our son and daughter down for the day as well as the visiting 2 cats and the other miniature poodle, so it was a really lovely family day. The meal went down very well and the gifts were all appreciated.

Our daughter and her poodle are now safely back in Canberra, and our son and 2 cats are staying for a while longer.

Tomorrow is going to be a relaxing day (with A 29 degree prophesy), so nothing more to do but sit and chat,

I'm in bed and preparing for a longggggg sleep.  Merry Christmas to all of you who are preparing for their day tomorrow.image

Thanks, Dove. I was planning to stop reading back, but couldn't resist a last look. I did solve the puzzle (with son and daughter competing to see who was quickest), but can't yet find a poem.  Maybe on another thread. I'll have to look in the morning when my brain is working.

Pat I'm glad you had a lovely day with your familyimage  Merry Christmas.

DD what a shame about your backimage.  Take it as easy as you can and have a good, indulgent Christmas.  I expect Charlie is getting quite excitedimage.

Thanks for the nice comments about the cake.  It's a bit of a cheat as I cook it in a 2lb loaf tin and cut into three layers and fill with buttercream before shaping.  Tastes OK thoughimage.  Look forward to seeing fairylet's cake later.  I'm sure your chicken will be done to perfectionimage.

Hope everyone gets everything done that needs to be done quickly and easily and can then relaximage.
