It sounds dreadful in Cornwall and the Somerset levels on the news looked very scarey. I hope everyone is OK and managing. Sounds awful about the sewers not working as flooded and electricity cut off. Surely it must stop raining soon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Not much hope for the harbour wall at Lamorna I presume. When I started diving, I did my first qualified dive in lamorna cove. We used to get the boat from there to various sites. The end of the harbour wall had a big hole only visible at low slack. The dive school offered to help pack it with sacks of cement if the owners would buy the materials. They weren't interested. five years on, huge cracks appeared part way along the jutting out bit. Last pictures I saw there was a massive gap in the wall. the new owners weren't interested, as the wall brought in no income.(unlike the cafe, houses and car park)

It all sounds pretty dire down there Verdun, be careful.

I haven't been here for months but I'm getting withdrawal symptoms not being able to work in my garden yet.

Oh of course!! What an idiot I am...thank you.
I agree about the south west. They've had a bad time.
We've only had a couple of power cuts and we do have a soggy bottom.

Verdun- it's saying something when I could suggest you move to Scotland to escape gale force winds and torrential rain.
Be careful when you're out
Absolutely true that you don't hear all the bits and pieces on the news.
When you talk about a soggy bottom lilleybee I hope it's the rain you're referring to....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
