    Morning all.

Still raining, two and a bit days solid, although wind has finally died down.

LiiyP., hope your back finally starts to get better, make sure your consultant keeps you at the top of his thoughts.

Finding of bracelet, did indeed bring great joy and got me many bonus points, I did suggest a Porsche would be adequate reward, but got a bottle of Prosecco instead!

Light box on and about to watch MD.

Have a good day all and hope your journey is not too bad Panda.

Morning all. Quick pop in before I disappear to the office.

Best wishes to Lily P - I know how bad back pain can be - affects your whole being - but I've never had anything as severe as you are suffering - hope you find relief soon.

Thinking of you today Panda - safe journey - and also Clari - it's hard when you get a series of bad news one after the other.

Welcome to the forum Laura - everyone's mad here except me image - pretty garden.

Meeting a friend for late lunch then home to wrap more presents / start writing cards. I will meet my deadline - I will, I will, I will ......

Dropped Charlie off at school and ended up chatting with a couple of mums, blooming freezing now, my ears have gone numb. image

Might make an effort with Xmas shopping, well a list anyway, not many shops open here on a Monday. image

Need to make an effort with the knitting project too, have only got until Friday and need a least 3 more Santas and a snowman by then, they are having a Kinder Surprise Egg stuffed up their bottoms.image

Safe journey Panda, hope all goes well. image

Good day to all and hope any groggy heads clear soon. image

Pat: my partner likes to cook but has no concept of cleaning (or not using six pans when one will do). I always clean as I go along so that by the time a meal is ready all you need to do is turn on the dishwasher and you're sorted. He always says he'll do it "later" and then I feel guilty about nagging him because he did just cook (I really enjoy cooking so can't even use the excuse of a "night off"). I know I know, feeling guilty about nagging a man is a huge flaw in my otherwise brilliance.

It's a bad habit I knew he had before I started going out with him so I guess if I haven't trained him by now I'd best... pull my socks up and get on with his training!

Looks like the grey and damp is set in here for the week. Best drag the wellingtons out!

Laura where in the world are you based? (Welcome by the way!)

DD: I hope your knitting goes well, one thing I have never managed to get the hang of is knitting: I swear it if were possible I actually knit backwards and end up with less than I started with. Not sure I agree with pushing things up Santas bottom though: things like that definitely put you on the naughty list!

Future father-in-laws birthday this weekend and I have been put in charge of the birthday cake. Due to my inability to make a decision my current plans are carrot cake, lemon drizzle cake, and possibly a bakewell tart. He is an amazing cook and I am actually feeling nervous about being able to make a cake anywhere near up to his standards. I'm not making them til Friday, so I've got plenty of time to make a few practice ones!
