Good morning Dove. Lovely to hear from you so early. I feel sorry for you all over there. We've had 30c today! Would rather a bit less. It limits how much I can do outside if it's very hot. I hope you can snuggle down for a bit longer.
I've just been watching the most beautiful sunrise - a pinky/golden glow over the whole sky - it makes me think of Pa who often had difficult nights in his last few years; he'd get the staff to get him out of bed early and sit him in his reclining chair facing the window in his room so that he could watch the sun coming up over the sea If there'd been a good sunrise he'd always tell me about it when I visited
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Happy memories Dove. We've had a lovely sunrise here too ....sort of golden.
quick cuppa here and then take littlest Chicklet to the station. Think I'll have my porridge when I get back. Got the second Christmas pud to steam today ....always make two coz my brain is too fuddled to be able to divide the recipe in half ...... did I ever mention I have a maths degree
I've always had to make at least four Chicky (Good morning by the way )
One for us, one for MIL, one for Wonky and one to raffle at work for Children in Need.
I still made four last year even though as I wasn't at work we didn't raffle one - so the spare is still sitting in the fridge - we'll have that one this year - don't know whether MIL will need one this year as she may be away - I expect Wonky will still want one

Yes please Dove! I mean good morming ! thanks for this weekend x
Weekend gone in the blink of an eye!
So glad that your mother is settled Liri! What an organized system you managed! Very cleaver and the least unsettling method! Well done! Enjoy your time away in Scotland! X
Must have had a senior moment re the piece of music Dove. In my defence - I only heard a few notes.... Both beautiful pieces. Not listened to them in a very long time, but the Barber was a favourite in our household growing up.
Lyn - isn't Anthony Andrews' performance just the most wonderful piece of acting ever? Don't think he ever came any where near it again, although I know he mostly does theatre so can't back that up. Everything about that production was sheer class. Castle Howard isn't too shabby either. They say that Waugh had it in mind for the family home when he wrote it
Off to work shortly so I'll have a quick catch up before I go. Was too busy watching Arne Dahl last night ever since RB (?) mentioned it .
Have a good day everyone - hope the weather's kinder than it is here!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Forgot to say, planted most of my bulbs last night at 9.30pm! Could see the planter on the terrace by the door cuz of the outside light! Just one pack remaining to dot around any space without chickweed!

Good morning all
G'day Pat if you're about
I go my coffee, but I haven't even looked outside yet today - somehow I feels it's not going to be a gardening day out there .............
