I do Fairy, haven't watched this weeks though.  I read all the books and loved them, think the authour was Ann Cleeve.

Yes - she also writes the Vera books which are on tv with Brenda Blethyn. Dougie Henshall was at school with my ex husband. I like him - he's good in the part. Of course, the stunning scenery is a big factor for me  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

True Scotphiles here Fairy so we're watching - partly because Shetland is very near the top of the list of places to go when we have a little more time to get there - and partly because it's a pretty good story too.

Seem to remember we had to keep rwinding in the 1st series because the sound was all to pot & we couldnt hear what was being said (old duffers!). They seem to have addressed that issue this series so much more enjoyable to watch image

Cat has just jumped on lap & is staring me down - obviously wants a cuddle - see yous all later image

Chicky, my Mum lived in Battle and I often drove down Powdermill Lane, but I had no idea that hotel was there!

Thanks, Lesley - done most of my packing.  Got to buy some paracetamol to take for my daughter because in Ireland it's very expensive -  I think Roche or Pfizer or someone has a monopoly in the country.   image

I'm now trying hard to finish sewing up the jumper which I finished knitting several months ago.  I can't see very well to do a neat job unless I sit on the windowsill, for maximum light - but I'm getting there...  image

    Cake looks scrummy, Dove!  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all.

I'm so early I've beaten Pat, ( Hope you're feeling better) and the lovely Dove.

Lovely here now, but flippin' 'eck it gets cold at night.

Some nutter in corridor at 3.30 am playing some sort of music device. Half an hour later about 5 very , very loud folk decided to have such a laugh and a joke in the corridor before slamming their respective bedroom doors closed. I wonder why I'm only getting about 4 hours sleep a day.

god I want to go home and get some rest.

    Devon.

Good morning Hosta image  ((hugs))  and the rest of you when you arrive image

Not good for you, all that foreign travel - nice little cottage in Cornwall - that's what you want ... or come and stay up here on the Norfolk coast with the Queen for your neighbour.  She's much better behaved than the lot you've got there image

Hopefully you can doze on your sunbed and catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs.

    Morning Dove.

Forecast is for more wind, which usually drives us indoors after lunch. It's down to about 8C at night here and I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing.

No good for us hot house flowers.

    Devon.
