That looks delicious Dove image - what is it?   I mean what sort?  (just to pre-empt the obvious answer...)

Been pruning apple trees today till I got bored.  Old and complicated (a bit like me, come to think of it) and didn't get done last year.

Thanks for all your comments re Sissinghurst I will check that hotel out.  Gardening today has inspired me.  Ive checked through my seeds and planned when I'm sowing them and ordered some new Verbenas Lanai (Vintage Rose and Pink Twister) so I can take cuttings from them.  I'm feeling so positive.

Verdun, you were very generous - sun and double figure temps here too image

Just a bit done in the garden.  Maybe more tomorrow, but I need to get ready for my Irish adventure...  setting off on Monday.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

The lovely smells coming from various kitchens are making me feel very hungryimage.  The cake looks very tempting Dove but I'm trying to be really good for the third day in a rowimage.  I know I started at New Year but there were too many calorific things lying around.

DD I'm pleased to hear that the swelling is going down and hope that you will be firing on all cylinders soon.

Liri I'm glad you managed to have a nice time with your Mum, listening to music togetherimage.  Have you sorted your packing out yet?

Yvie you deserve to feel pleased about what you achieved in the gardenimage.  Ours is still too boggy to do anything at the moment so I've been playing with my new camera and finding out which button does whatimage.

Fairy I'm off to look for any walk pics taken today.  You can put your feet up and enjoy Dove's cake knowing that you are keeping up your fitness levelsimage.  Glad you enjoyed your walk chicky but be careful with that ankle.  Good to hear that Mr c is doing so wellimage

Topbird your garden is going to be amazing once all the hard graft has been done.  I'm looking forward to pic's tooimage.

Have a lovely evening, whatever you're doing - even if it's criminal Archieimage

It's this one Steve - made with plums http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/sep/26/how-to-bake-stone-fruit-yogurt-cake

OH has just arrived home from work and had a big slice with a dollop of crème fraiche on it - now he's dozing on the sofa until supper time. image

Lesley, it's got fruit in so it's one of your five a day, plus it's got yoghurt in it, and you know how theykeep telling us we've got to keep our calcium intake up - that makes this cake virtually a health food image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Enjoying the new series of Shetland. Does anyone watch that?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
