    Morning All

Grey & wet here today - and tomorrow - and the next day..... Driveway covered in leaves again. Might get out to rake some leaves over the next day or so but bulbs are definitely going in black  plastic pots which I can sink in the beds in strategic positions.

They might stay there as well - then I can just rotate pots of early spring bulbs / alliums / lilies in the borders (flower arranging as Verdun puts it). With a bit of luck the bulbs won't get eaten by mice or dug up / sliced in half by yours truly.

Glad the van is up & running Hosta - guess you'll be enjoying some ale tonight then?

Doc - I'd also be interested to hear more about your light box. Do you think it helps?

Lily P - hope all goes well at the physio.

Lyn - I get a bit disillusioned every year with my garden when things don't look as I imagined they would. This year was quite difficult weather wise - things were so late - then all in a rush - then all rained off. The voles caused more than a few problems too. But I've seen pictures of your garden - it looks spectacular - lots of colour and good form. What did you think wasn't right with it?

DD - have you remembered yet what you had to tell me - I've been on tenterhooks all night image

Hope everybody has a good day image

    Morning topbird.

This morning's crisis is not ale related, it's worse than that.

I'm about to run out of milk . I'm worse when I need tea than need ale. image

Is it that time.?    I couldnt sleep all night then fell asleep about 6 am

The fairyman who makes the fairies at Trentham gardens is selling one called Trillian. I wish I could buy her, but sealed bids only, the last one sold on ebay around 15 grand, and that would buy a big greenhouse full of plants. I do have a idea though for some allium heads and some spray paint.image

I must download the camera, there are still pics from the wedding on there. I got a dozen bottles of prosecco from Morrisons yesterday for the post wedding (picture showing ) party. I must get some fireworks before they are all sold out.

What's that Topbird? Are Waitrose really giving 25% discount on 6 bottles of wine? Wow, that's fantastic.

Well done Topbird, Think of my bonus next year ( which'll be zilch image)

Hostafan, there are better places to go than Sharm. Security was always lax, except for the time they wanted a bribe to let my video camera in and not confiscate it. A fiver and they would bypass any security.  Money was requested by the scanner people to put the luggage on the conveyer belt. When I raised my voice and asked why, they moved on to the next victim.Last time I went I was leered at and comments made, even though I was fully dressed, and OH was at my side. I didn't feel safe, and we made a decision that there were far nicer places in the world to go to.
