Haematoma is just a posh word for bruise. It's what I've got behind my fingernail after my close encounter with the mower blades, except yours is a bit bigger. Doesn't make it any more pleasant though.
IMHO (as a biologist and trained first aider) there's no point putting ice on it now. That's useful for the first 24 hours as it reduces blood flow to the area and hence bleeding into the tissues. After 48 hours though it's better to use gentle heat and possibly ... er... massage to disperse the clot. Anyone fancy rubbing in some Deep Heat? But maybe you should do as the good doctor says and sit on some frozen peas.
Bad luck about the clutch, too. Glad you got home safely in the ...er... end.
Liri I so hope mum's move goes okay tomorrow. Hugs.
Hosta wot a day
I've had my mum at Matalan today the first time in nearly a year I've got her to go to any shops, not even SM. She did ever so well, leaning on a trolley and having odd sit downs She won't use a wheelchair or a stick, prefers to lean on me
She had a big sit down in the shoe / boot area and purchased four pairs, new undies, socks and a new top ..no coats suitable as much as she liked them I don't think a Parka suits an 87 yr old ..unless she wants us to call her Yoda More outings for clothes planned ..but she doesn't think she cant manage SM Even though we've been in today for photos to renew her Blue Badge
Awww KEF your ma sounds amazing cherish the memories because they are like little parcels of giggles to be unwrapped whenever you need
Hosta, I've got a Pimms tonight and totally understand your stress levels, never had that happen to me but plenty of things can set me off enjoy your beer
Hope OH is still behaving himself and not driving you crazy to get going again too soon, I know mine is the worst patient you could imagine for that
I'm in the bath after ripping wall tiles off the kitchen wall, cleaning the tops of the cupboards oops how did they get like that? Then painted coving and ceiling, another coat tomorrow plus the walls before preparing walls for new tiles and worktop
Evening all. Still hellish foggy here- it just came back and stayed. Still a load of f***ies with no lights on
KEF - you're very patient. I hate going to these places even when I need something, never mind taking anyone else to do their's!
Hosta ...just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. At least you're in one piece. I was thinking the same as Steve re the ice pack and timing. since you hate the cold, perhaps you could heat the ice pack up....
RB - did you mean the Steve Harley song? I gave doc the answer - it was about band members shafting him over money, hence the line # for only metal, what a bore.
Hope BL doesn't get any problems with the fog.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
OH's son's show went brilliantly . It wasn't an audition but a preview, of a more-or-less one man show he's doing for kids next weekend. And getting paid for it!
And then we had a nice stroll around Brugge (or Bruges if you prefer), which I've never done before in the Autumn.

Doc said icepacks will help, but you know much I hate the cold.
Wasn't the car Dove, it was my old white van. Not sure if that was better or worse than had it been the car.
Thanks Gertie. Waiting for the garage to call to tell me they've fixed it,but they need to source a pedal for a 17 year old van.

Now, what's the third thing?
Verdun, I don't know about you , but I'm rubbish at hiding the fact I don't like people. I just can't find anything to say to them
Lyn and Dove will know how uncharacteristic that is of me.

Fairy LOL re: age of Yaris
