    Morning all.

Thanks for the heads up Dove. I'll be avoiding all snowy GC car parks to-day. HONEST.

A friend of mine was working at Grange Park Opera a few years ago and came home raving she'd served Stephen Fry. A few days later she came home raving again.

" guess who I served????? go on , .... guess"

    " better than Stephen Fry?"

    " I think so"

" who can be better than Stephen Fry?"

    " DAVID ATTENBOROUGH!!!!!!"

I grew up watching him with my parents, then with my children. They're still fans.

A " National Treasure" indeed and such a lovely , lovely man.

    Keep warm and dry.

    Devon.

Morning all - white over here. Weather was pretty dire driving back from the funeral last night - horizontal sleet then snow. No sign of any gritters and passed 2 cars recently 'diverted' into ditches.

Down to abt -2C last night - colder to come I believe.

Sparkling day now but 2nd funeral at lunchtime. Am going to have a big bowl of porridge in a bit because I'm not sure when we'll be able to eat again...

Sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly again Pat - hope this bout doesnt take as long to get over as the last one did. Hope also you can enjoy some of your grandson's visit.

Hosta sounds a bit more chipper - hopefully those meds are kicking in now - and hope all with power / internet issues get them sorted quickly.

We couldn't work out what an occasional flash of blue light was last night as we drove into the village last night. Now realise it must have been a power cable or similar shorting - electricity was on and off all evening - not good for computers and internet kit image

Hard frost here. The grass was crunchy instead of squelchy when I fed the birds. The squirrels seem to think the back door closing is a dinner gong. They are there faster than the blackbirds, even though nowhere to be seen when I was out there.

Morning all. We now have Internet in the cottage! Have read back a bit, but there is a lot. Glad Chicky passed her medical and well done Lesley for the decorating. Hope the funeral was bearable Topbird, glad you managed the journey in the awful weather. Glad Hosta is on the mend.

Weather was awful yesterday, snow in the morning, must have been same as Dove' we aren't that far away. Went to Norwich, bought two bedside table lamps from IKEA and two little wooden bedside tables from a wood furniture place the other side of Norwich, in the sale.

ate in the Chinese in Diss last night, sleet and howling gale on the way home.

This morning it's sunny, but there is ice on the drive.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good morning all , clear blue sky's just had breakfast , I am sure it will be mighty cold out there , can't see any frost on grass

Got to go into Lincoln this afternoon to sort out Coop Bk and mobile phones , nothing is simple these days , then as a treat will go to a Jazz club in Lincoln University called Zing at 5-00 for some live music , a bit hit and miss some good , some not so

Hope you all have a good day and for those not retired it is soon the weekend , unless of course you are working image
