How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Happy christmas all..... Not so great here at 13.00 lost all power in the house still trying to get through now!!!!!!!! Getting a little cold and the candle ambiance is wearing thin....
I am exhausted. My guests have just gone and I think they are exhausted too. More guests coming in a couple of days time so hopefully I will have recovered by then. Hope everyone has had a good day. Enjoy your books Stacey.
Garden Girl - you will feel better after a good nights sleep.
Hello folks - hope you've all had a lovely day. Our Christmas lunch went well - we'd just finished our pudding and were all flollopped on the sofa when I had a call from The Lovely Home - Pa was having breathing problems and paramedics had sent for an ambulance - would I meet him at the hospital? I'd had a few glasses of wine and fizz so couldn't drive, but my son had been on root beer all day so off we went, leaving OH and daughter in law to clear up in the kitchen etc.
Poor Pa wasn't too good, he'd been poorly in the ambulance and was very dehydrated and in a lot of pain with cramps, and his sats weren't good. After a while they got him sorted and he's been admitted to a ward and will have some tests to see what's going on - the likelihood is that he's aspirated some food (it seems that Ma may have been smuggling him forbidden Christmas biscuits given by family members who should know better
he's on soft liquidised food and thickened liquids only).
Son and I got back here about an hour ago, we've had some cheese and biscuits and he and his wife have just set off for their home down on the Suffolk coast (45 miles) There's a hard frost now so they'll take it steady.
I'll go and see Ma in the morning and then go to the hospital in the afternoon to see Pa.
Not the Christmas Day we'd planned - but thank goodness for the lovely paramedics and nurses working today

A lot of good people get to enjoy their Christmas at work and we need to think of them, separated from their families in order to help us and ours. Dove's experience can happen to any of us and it underlines that Christmas is about thinking well of others, as well as indulging ourselves. Goodnight to everyone, and good luck Dove.

Bit of a hectic and stressful day, would be so bliss and peaceful - just to have a bit of time to myself, not feeling that great bit rough
Weather came though and we had a white xmas just for a small bit as it hailed down some ice, pic for another day
Are we going to have a pyjama party some when? that would be a day of rest lounging around
