One last thing, I am already thinking of how I can change my borders for next year and thinking of making 'areas' I would like a lavender 'garden' and notice in this month's mag the advert for next month has 48 free lavender plants, no doubt they will be plugs but will grow for next year I would think??
OL - did the 48 "free" lavenders last year (and the year before)- they are small to start ( think "48 perennials") but grow really quickly. I will post photos of the 2012, and the 2013 ones later in the week (won't be home before dark tomorrow).
One (or 3) of the things i planted yesterday was stipa tenuissima - hope it isn't invasive. But it is lovely - short and wavy - like a bad hair day. Looking at the state of my locks I can see why that comparison came to mind. Better go wash and dry it into submission .....
