We're not too far from the big hospital here and I just watched the air ambulance go overhead - thinking of the heroes and heroines who are always there for us, many of whom are working today and are away from their families. and also thinking of those whose Christmas this year will not be a happy one.

We had ours on Sunday with my 4 children and 6 grandchildren and we are having another today with friends coming to lunch.
