I'm sure neither of our husbands is concerned.

should that have been "neither of our husband ARE concerned"? Methinks so.
tsk @ self. I'll be booted out of Pedants' Corner.
Disgraceful Hosta - should be ashamed of yourself
I believe you can use either
'are' sounds better somehow - because of the plural...
Neither is. Although you are talking about them as two people, in this context they are individuals
Neither one is concerned as opposed to neither one are concerned. You say pedant like it's a bad thing.
I wear my Pedant badge with pride.
You wouldn't say " our husbands is going to the pub together though"
I'm sticking with "are"
You can always form the sentence in a different way...'our husbands won't be concerned'....
or would spoil the fun, Hosta?
Jo, round 2 went well Still a lovely bunch Did lots of reading today, my eyes are tired
Fairy, which one are you, bum or back?
Back Panda
Glad today was good for you
