I'm standing still waiting for everyone to catch up with me
Thing is, I'm not sure that they're all going in my direction
i'm sitting Dove. An old saying my parents have is 'don't stand if you can sit, don't sit if you can lie'. Laziness obviously runs in the family Well, it doesn't exactly 'run'.
Gertie and Rb I'm still coming across things that I have no idea about
Topbird, sorry to hear about you OH's accident, Hope he recovers soon as it must have been one hell of a shock.
Jo, thanks for asking about the foot - the anaesthesia worked well. Apparently this can take months so I'll let you know when it's better.
Hosta, that quote took me ages and I still won't know if it's right till I hit submit
Mr Topbird has asked me to pass on his thanks for all your best wishes. He's a bit sore but otherwise unharmed & unperturbed by the thought of getting back on a bike. He thought a poorly arm was a good excuse to get out of washing up and other chores - but Mrs T'bird thought otherwise (I'm a cruel task mistress).
Seriously though - I'm just glad he's OK - could have been quite nasty. Why oh why do some people not think to leave lots of room when they want to get past a cyclist or horse rider? Often see near misses on our narrow country lanes.
Need to give the lawn a quick haircut now. Growth is starting to slow down so I think future cuts will just be 'as & when' tidy ups and vacuuming up leaves. I do love this time of year - such beautiful light and colours - but it plays merry-hell with my slight OCD tidy gene - all those leaves, all that droopy foliage, mud...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Topbird - glad your OH is feeling positive. As for OCD - well some things I can turn a blind eye to (I have to because no-one else notices and it used to drive me mad) but I sent a card off today, wrote it, addressed it and OH said he'd post it. I asked if he'd put the stamp on straight and he said 'no'. Why does it bother me?
Rb - the anaesthetic was imbibed at a night out on Saturday. It helped me to walk home - they wouldn't carry me
They were talking about plantar fasciitis on Jeremy Vine today so I thought of you. The doc was saying it can take quite a while to get better, so just put your feet up....
I think my ankle issue is a related problem, and the new boots were just a coincidence. I seem to have an extra little 'ankle bone' so I had a google (I know, I know... ) and there's a tendon running up the side of the ankle which can get inflamed and creates a lump. Greatly increasing the amount of walking you do seems to be a cause, so that would fit! The cure is rest ....that's not likely to happen any time soon! Perhaps I should go to the doc though...
Glad MrT is ok ( MrT ) They say more accidents happen on country roads. It's because people assume they'll be quiet. Never occurs to them that there could be tractor round the next bend does it?
I should do some scarifying of the front grass. Need to make dinner though and do some SM shopping
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
T'bird - to cleaning the oven, but I have those little metal thingies for the plugholes as my daughters seem to shed an awful lot in the shower Still because it's usually me who picks the debris up and disposes of it...

Just back from busy day at work and a strong coffee before painting duties!
Topbird, glad Mr T is obviously bounceable! Could have been nasty! People can be so impatient and inconsiderate! But I do agree with you that gentle exercise...is washing up is therapeutic!
Dove I've seen those shelves that tip plants in your trolley when your not looking!
Hope you had a positive first day Panda!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening....I'm off up a ladder!
Jo. That (CDO) took a while to figure out. Have you checked the cats for little leaves on their tums? They may be trying to help to incubate your wee plants
Fairy, if you look slightly squinty the stamp may look OK. He said 'I bought the stamp. I can put in on anyway I want'. I used to think he did it to annoy me but he just hasn't got the 'eye' for it. Sorry to hear your ankle is playing up. Who can resist googling anyway.
