    Morning all.

The rain has just stopped here and not windy for a change.

Our lovely cleaner is here so I'm heading for the tunnels after breaky and hubby will tackle the massive pile of ironing.

I've been told we have to go to Waitrose. Wish us luck.

Morning all. No wind here. Good luck Hosta and hubby.

Shall make chestnut stuffing for the goose and prepare veggies today and do some housework. Looks like a lovely gardening day though. I'll do the guinea fowl stuffing, which has some sausage meat, tomorrow.

Love Fairy for the poem! Loaned my Nordic style illustrated version of the book to my friend as her sister was successful in adopting a little girl aged 6 who hasn't had nice christmas memories so they are starting from scratch this year and they had NEVER heard of twas the night before christmas!

I got a recipe from Google, Jo, but they are all similar, cook for about 3 1/2 hours, just the seasonings are different.

Morning all. Too much to do this morning before the family arrives. Just wanted to say how much I loved Fairy's poem - very, very clever.

Happy Christmas everyone. I just have to do a run to mums so she can make mince pies, and is happy that the stuff in my fridge is now in her fridge. I have done the bottom layer of the trifle. I had to make my own trifle sponges yesterday. I couldnt find any that werent full of weird ingredients that belonged in the chemistry lab.

Well done fairygirl, a brilliant poem.

My friends lad has just been collected from Manchester airport, he has been travelling in indonesia and Aus, and seems to be suffering from some sort of infection, possibly dengue fever. He's now home safe and sound, and no doubt will get lots of fussing.

Everyone have a lovely xmas, remember, do it your way, if that means a bottle of sherry and a tin of roses, fine.
