As Hosta says, fantastic day, no wind and that is a real bonus for up here.

I think the secret to the quotes thingy is that you have to make sure the cursor is right over on the left hand side of the posting box, not directly uNader the quote you have just pasted.

Off to opticians now,  just checking on my new contact lenses, then sow some seeds, later putting all the fruit into the brandy to soak over night then tomorrow is Chistmas cake and pudding time.

Morning all! Its gloriously sunny here, I'm just waiting for it to warm up a little before I go into the garden for some pottering. It was 4'C first thing so my wormery definitely needs moving somewhere warmer before the frosts kick in.

Spent the weekend with the family: Reggie didn't get any rest with all the extra noise and confusing people and the poor thing is now snoring away while I play around with some ideas for fundraising at work.

I've now got to find funding to get the education side covered so that we can a) pay my wages (harsh but true) b) get it so that schools don't have to pay to visit us (I HATE HATE that schools have to pay to visit a museum that teaches life safety) c) have funds to actually develop projects d) maintain our education vehicle.... oh and I need to raise £2,000 for an AED to be installed on the outside of the building. Anyone know any business owners wanting to offset their tax with a donation to us? image

Have a great day everyone. I'll be out in the garden soon tidying it up for winter.

Under Gardener is out in the garden deconstructing raised beds (they're where the new flower bed is going to be dug when the tree has been felled), emptying tomato pots, and doing general lifting and tidying jobs - I'm instructing from the kitchen as I'm making tomato and chilli chutney (inspired by the lovely stuff given to us by Hosta's fab OH image).

    We've just stopped for a coffee ........

I went to get a few things from the Home Bargain shop (other discount stores are available) and some Allium sphaerocephalons fell into the basket. At 95p for 30, it would have been rude to leave them...image

Right - no rest for the wicked - back to work for me image
