Just been out with Spikey's supper.

    "it's chilly for June"

Methinks the banana might have to be dug up soon.

Gertie, that's not another expression, I just mean I have a banana in the garden, but with the chilly nights, I feel it might be best dug up and into the polytunnel for the winter.

I use all those sayings too  RB, but then we are local to each otherimage  It's been a beautiful day here.  Spent the morning in the garden, the idea was to deadhead and then tidy the shed and fetch some compost for potting on seedlings.  What actually happended was deadheading plus a sorte into the undergrowth to cut back the chocolate vine (yes I know it should be done after flowering) because it was running rampant through the twisted hazel and the mahonia.

After I had cleaned up all the scratches from the Mahonia and removed all the bugs and spiders from my hair I went to see mum.  She's still really poorly and showing no signs of improvement to be honest I really think she has had enough, it's so sad to see her knowing that there is nothing I can do.

RB go to A&E you really don't want an infection, is your tetanus up to date?
