Very chilly here this morning. Even if we had left over crispy duck I don't think I could eat it this early Hosta. It's definitely a porridge day.
The men came and chopped down the two trees at the front but we still have to wait for an estimate from the stump grinders. They made a good job of it and even 'hoovered up' all the sawdust. So far it's cost £380 which I feel is quite reasonable. Probably another £100 for the stumps. When is yours getting done Dove and have you managed to re-site Hefty?
Lesley, our tree is planned to come down on 20th Nov if I remember correctly, with the stump grinding a couple of weeks later. I think Hefty was just using that spot as an occasional summer residence - he seems to have abandoned it now so I've reconstructed the pile of twigs, loggs and leaves in another dry and sheltered corner so he can use that if he chooses. However neighbours have some thick hedgerows and undergrowth so he's not short of choices.

Morning all. Can't believe you lot are talking about underwear AGAIN.
I've got a film crew in today: a local college course fortunately. I can't wait to see what they produce.
BUt I've also a long weekend coming up. Hurrah! Almost balances out that I only have one day in November that I haven't filled with events for work. Off to see family for birthdays (not mine) so no gardening alas.
Clari - I didn't hear it properly (radio's in the other room) but Chris Evans seems to be putting out a call for people with emergency vehicles to get in touch .......

Morning all.
Rather misty out there, but dry.
I watched Dr Foster too Dove, shame its finished it could have gone on a couple more episodes. She was a rather scary doctor!
Pat I love trailing lobelia, will definitely be putting it in the wall basket in the summer.
Panda, glad oven is now fitted.
Wonky hope men get things finished soon.
Time for another cuppa and a mooch on here.

Dove: he only wants them if they're not used for what they were designed for I.e. that lasses poetry-ance.
I did contact him regarding us coming to support Car Fest offering rides, demonstrations etc. No response back.
