Superglue might be the only way to mend it Fairy, apparently the gold in the band is 'different' to the gold in the setting so they will never bond together properly - I had a new band created for my sausage fingers

Panda, think you ought to get a second opinion re mending ring. Gold is gold except the amount of 'gold content' ....9ct 14ct etc. There's a mixture of other metals in each too so should be ok. You sure they just didn't want to sell you a complete new 'band' or worse still new ring.

jo - if I look out the back windows it looks quite nice and bright - bit of blue sky. If I look out the front ones - it'l like Mordor

Had friends round for supper last night and I didn't get to bed until 2.30
OH managed to get off to work this morning but I'm flippin' knackered.
