Morning all, oh it seems such a long time since I said that to you!
Fingers and toes crossed for all those expecting bad weather this weekend.
Phew, just checked and I have a packet of Yorkshire pudding mix in the cupboard... disgraceful I know for a born, bred n never left Yorkshire lass, but I even got a new oven and they still didn't work out! So I will be able to join in with yorkshire pudding day, thanks dove I hadn't heard of it before :S
Spruced up and off to post office for a new driving license photo.
Garden? You all seem busy, mine will just sit quietly there until the daffs come to say hello...
Right, setting off in a southerly direction, via the butchers, to lunch with daughter in law and plan our adventure - see you later folks - enjoy the sunshine (from the comfy sofa with a good film )
See you later
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. Just catching up with all your posts from last night. My sis and BIL arrived unexpectedly after my last post as they were in the area buying a new car. Have you been talking to them Verd? They had a Honda like my old one but decided on a change so they've gone for a Landrover. Sigh.Feeling slightly jealous. I'll be changing mine once I've sorted the extension and saved up a but more.
Had snow overnight and it's all frozen but hopefully it'll thaw a bit -or maybe we'll get more. It's diddly darn cold anyway.
Mrs G - Yorkshires from a packet. Shame on you
Do Brian Turner's method - can't fail. Little drop of oil in the pan/tray, set oven to scorchio and away you go
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Verdun, pleased to hear weather not been quite as bad as forecast, fingers crossed for you.
I'm going to get a move on, open GH doors for a short time and go to the market. This afternoon will be curry making, well it is Saturday and tradition in the KEF household.
Bill -that list is great! I just about remember the fifties but growing up in the sixties, most of those things still hold true. My kids laugh when I tell them that pasta was regarded as exotic when I was a child.
Panda - I think the architect's seen the error of his ways. Will see what the new amended plans look like though
Here's hoping February will be drier for all those suffering with flooding. Don't want to be too controversial or political but when I saw the people from Somerset talking on the news about how abandoned they felt, it reminded of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in the States when the wonderful George Dubya ignored the situation.
Ironing and other household chores beckon so I'd better do some of it

Glad architect has seen the error of his ways Fairy. I guess the threat of a wand wave can work miracles
Lily, a moth in bed would be better than a month in bed *curse you autocorrect*
The sun is out but the wind is blowing. Guess I better get up and see the state of the hellebore bed and work out how wet it is before I think about planting. Yours sound nice though Verd. What are the chances of a pic?
