Good morning Lesley - I know, it's a concern isn't it? I was just thinking that the tomatoes need potting on but the cold-frame is getting a bit cramped - I'd considered planting the courgettes out but .......................
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I spent yesterday dodging showers and hauling the shredder in and out. Today a friend's son is 21,so out tonight. I'd better try and get the ingrained soil out of my hands.
All my tomatoes are outside and the greenhouse will be getting dismantled very soon (supposedly). Looks like I might nip over to Aldi to see if they still have any of those plastic frames to put things in with impending chilly weather. Mine is designated for my chilli collection.
Feeling very sorry for myself this morning & starting to wonder about finding a job I can work from job if needed. Anyone need a pillow tester? I have very high standards.
Morning everyone.....a bit grey and miserable here this morning, and that's just in the house Sunflowers mostly survived another night, except for one which has been dug up, not sure who by, a squirrel or my boy beagle who is looking sheepish.....he sees the bit of soil next to the blueberry bush as his digging patch I think and nothing lasts that gets planted there!! Grrrrrrrrrr, why can't he behave like Nigel all the time???
Well, best get in and get some work done, catch you all later.
A pretty nice gardening day , not too bright, warm, DRY!, a tad windy though.
Found a huge black slug on a hellebore, was going to post a photo entitled 'guess what happened next...' but no card in camera so it is lost in camera ether somewhere.
Have been driving through rotherham this morning and have to say they really know how to 'do' wild flowers. Thought the same last year so pleased to see it has continued. I'm talking about the Council planted (grass) verges and dual carriageway central reservations. A little difficult to get a photo to show you .
My son's childminder came round for coffee yesterday (I've just typed that but its disappeared somewhere), anyway she admired my garden and wants to start on hers now. She grows veg n stuff kids like to do obviously. I can see her with a wildlife friendly garden and a pond. Unfortunately OFSTED will not allow her to have a pond. Much of her garden is in shade 50% of the day, and quite small. Can't wait to get stuck in! Already earmarked what I can split or take cuttings for her.

Have a good day everyone whether you need a brolly or shades
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning all. Light rain here and heavy to follow. Think I might go back to bed.
