Thanks Panda. image Have read back a few pages. Bananas and porridge made me laugh! Glad Dove, Lyn and Hosta had a good time. Seems funny without Dove here.

Morning all,  raining here so glad I did the garden jobs yesterday, today I will be mostly washing and being lazy.

Pat and Bushman hope you feel better soon, enjoy you holiday Bushman.

I'm rubbish at Birthdays but glad to hear you enjoyed yours SGL and Lizzie.

Have just caught up with Downton, absolutely love it.  Everything is just so beautiful and the storylines are brilliant.  Will be so sorry to see it end.

Off for a look round now, catch up with you all later.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Hope poorly forkers feel better soon.

I'm a Downton fan too. I don't usually look for mistakes in programmes but it was mentioned that Daisy's FIL looked after Holstein cows. I might be wrong but I don't think there were any of that breed in the country at that time. Perhaps Wonky might know coming from a farming background.

Holsteins have been coming into the UK since the 1800s, on and off. This site explains all http://www.britishfriesian.co.uk/content/history.shtml

I'm refusing to put the heating on: but I am currently hugging a hot water bottle.

We attempted a walk but when my bra was soaked through despite my water resistant jacket we called it quits. I think Reggie was quite relieved! He's snoring away on his blanket quite happily now.

  • Its still quite warm here, even tho its raining. Still wearing summer tops and no cardi.

Haven't watched Downton yet, sky+ it last night.

    Thank you DD.

Thanks Yvie. Hope you and OH are feeling better x

RB, been a bit lazy today. Just a bit of washing and a quick flick of the duster and woosh round with hoover. Now lazy afternoon image

    afternoon fellow Forkers.

Hospital appointment changed to 5pm. That's a bit more like it. Start of the evening session so should be delay.

Had a call from " Waitrose Partner Services" she's calling back at 4. Much intrigue.

    Devon.

Hello everyone. I second Bushman's comments. It makes such a difference to have people wishing you well. It's so easy to feel down when you're not well and worried about the eventual outcome.  I'm feeling quite perky tonight, so hopefully tomorrow morning isn't like the past days. image I'Ve hated feeling awful every day.  I'm sorry I can't remember individual messages, it's taken me ages to go back, but it is appreciated!  Bushman, best wishes to you - I was wondering why we hadn't had any cheeky comments since the Queen came to visit!

I was thinking about someone talking about Dr Who - I'm sorry but I just can't picture "Malcolm" being Dr Who. Can't think of the name of the show where he played that agro political manipulator shouting at everyone all the time, buy he'll always be that character for me. Give me John Pertwee or the one with the scarf (darn it, my brain is mush at the moment! Can't remember anything).

Just had a rain storm pass over (midnight here), so maybe the forecast was right after all.
