I'm currently sat on the bed trying to decide whether to have a long luxurious bath (but means I have to hope we've enough hot water, and ignore the fact that you're sitting in a soup of your own skin cells) or a shower (which means having to stand up;  ugh!)

Makes you realise how lucky you are when these are your worst concerns of a morning!

It's (currently) gloriously sunny here at the moment so lots of opportunity for exploring in the fresh air and hoping the post person will leave those parcels somewhere safe. We could do with a bit more frost though: pulled another flower off the strawberries first thing! They're earlies and quite confused!

    Morning KEF!

Chicky: just had to hunt back for your news, bet you can't wait to have him back home. Remember to look after yourself!

    Morning all.

Glad to hear that Mr Chicky is on the road to recovery.

Woken by log man sawing logs, now have big pile to stack but the garden tractor won't start and we need it to pull the trailer of logs to the other side of the house.

OH has decided that he wants to take me to lunch to a seafood restaurant that he hasn't been to for years. I must be careful though, have lost 5lbs so far but it feels as though it's taking ages.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Morning all , hoping that everyone is good and sending hugs to poorly peeps x

Lovely start today, looking out over the woodlands I can see that the sun  has caught on the trees and has turned them a brilliant gold.....stunning!

Got a few 'blips' to go through before we can truly start getting into the xmas mood ( mind you I have posted all my cards). Hubs has his oncology app( check up), and I've got my pre-assessment next wk and my op on the following weds........then we can take a deep breathe and chill...and wait for our sons to hit base for the hols. In between we have friends staying for s couple of nights too....so feet not touching the ground!( and I still working around all these various ' dates'.

    Roll on the hols.

    Have a good day x.

    Morning all.

All this talk of snow and torrential rain. image

Funnily enough, given that Cape Verde is Catholic, no signs of Christmas here at all. Not even in the hotel. Suits my Bah Humbug approach wonderfully.

Tiny bit of haze this morning which is quickly burning off. Another day on the beach for us.

    Keep warm and dry.

    Devon.
