Internet up and down like a bride's nightie here - as they say, driving me mad and woke up to a power cut this morning too.
Anyway, had a bit of a read back, sorry to hear about poorly people:
Bushman you sound very brave, I hope your holiday will get you back on track.
Pat, you have certainly been going through it too, hope the doc sorts you out soon too.
Panda - it's your own fault, but sympathy anyway.
SGL & BL sorry I missed your birthdays but sounds like all went well.
Hosta, agree with you about Maggie, (Smith that is of course) best role in the show and so excellently delivered.
Managed to get to a flower show yesterday and came ome with lots of little treats and then spent the afternoon at the local autumn show, an idyllic afternoon, atmosphere was brilliant.
Today I am attacking the garden and may well be out there some time. We have had a week of rain and a week-end of sunshine, it looks like a the triffids are taking over.
Have a good day one and all and poorly people look after yourselves and do what the doctor ordered.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
We came back on Sunday evening. Were in Sicily for 1 week and in Norfolk and Eastbourne the second week. There was an enormous thunderstorm in Sicily, never seen anything like it. Quite scary with rocks streaming down roads like rivers and parts of the hotel were flooded. We were in a coach coming back from Syracuse to Taormina when it started. The next day we couldn't leave the hotel because of the rain, our Rep from Thomson's organised a quiz - we did very badly!
Our boat trip was cancelled, but at the end of the week the sea was calm and the sky was blue so we booked another boat trip. But it was Italian not English. We enjoyed it though. We swam in a glorious warm turquoise sea and drank cocktails in the water. Then more cocktails and plates of fresh fruit on the boat.
Then off to England to see family.
Thank you all for my lovely birthday wishes, cakes and cards. OH took me out to a restaurant in Diss on my birthday, but not a fine day, it rained! Enjoyed it though, we drove up to the broads and took a little boat ferry and had a beer in a pub.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hi Pat
Morning all.

Now I'll read back, but not sure about 2 weeks worth! Probably take hours.
