Fairygirl, I followed your directions and found I'd ignored 5 of you!  Hopefully I've corrected it now.image Very embarrassing!

I'm still feeling very ill. I rang the Dr's surgery today to see if the blood result was in and was told yes, but that the Dr I saw last week, isn't in today!   After a bit of thought, I rang back and asked if my regular Dr was back from holiday yet and was told yes she's back today, so I asked if I could see her and if she could be shown the path report.  I must say I felt sorry for the receptionist, she was obviously run off her feet. Anyway, about 4pm she called back and said my regular Dr would see me on Wednesday. I commented that I assumed that if the blood test had shown something horrendous I would expect my Dr would try to see me earlier. The receptionist agreed. So, if nothing else, I should feel a bit reassured that they didn't find anything too bad. image

On a lighter note, I observed to Hubby that the seasonal change is full of paradoxes. Here he was with an armful of firewood to bring in through the door while at the same time trying to stop a blow fly from zooming in. I had the pleasure of a large one sharing my space in the shower room this afternoon. Blow flies are a major feature of hot summer weather and hated by one and all.image

Morning all, very dreek again today, after a really rather nice weekend.

Sorry I missed your birthday SGL, belated congratulations.

Managed to start planting my mountain of bulbs yesterday, but most of the weekend was spent watching multiple sports. A fantastic weekend.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Good morning everyone

Pat so sorry you still feeling grim, hopefully you will get the medication you need and be on the mend soon.  Blow flies are called bluebottles here and although we dont have nearly as many as you do most people do not enjoy their company indoors!

we have hardly seen a single wasp this year, anyone else noticed their absence?

its been very wet overnight but at least stopped now just as well as it's full steam ahead here for a week as help has arrived until Friday.  Soooooo much to do!

    have a good day

Bushman that sounds awful! I hope you're feeling better now.

It's feeling very autumnal here. Fortunately it was lovely weather yesterday as I travelled down south (fromYorkshire to Leicestershire and no one checked my passport) to support another museum with their emergency services day in Bradgate Park. Such a beautiful place to visit: the deer were so majestic walking around like we weren't there! I really must remember to go there again when I'm in the area.

I think first task on my to do list is sort the freezer out: the weather is putting me off playing in the garden and I am hankering for a slow cooked casserole. Unfortunately my partner HATES casserole so I'll have to try and see what compromise we can come up with.

Bushman, I am sure I saw an advert recently for a device that measures blood levels for folks on Warfarin, maybe worth asking about?

    enjoy your holiday
