Pat, I have to ask about your snake scarers! New one on me. I lived in Africa for fifty plus years, with snakes galore, and this is the first I have heard of snake scarers. How do they work, and more importantly - DO they work?
I'm coming over your way, a month's visit to my sister in Brisbane, leaving next Sunday, and am looking forward to some warm sunshine! Even though it will be Spring, I'm sure it will be warm to me.
Thanks for that, Pat. Do you eat your yabbies? Here in Britain, introduced signal crayfish have made our native white-clawed crayfish rare, and it's now protected. We're being encouraged to eat the invader to protect the native.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
H*******k done this morning, washing on the line. Lunch eaten in the garden, will sit for awhile then cut back a few more bits......especially next doors ivy! Its wandering about all over place and just started to get near my new fence panals!!
Lily that is exactly what I've been doing with the neighbour's ivy to stop it from reaching the garage. The other pain is the sheets of liverwort mixed with the gravel at the side of the drive. Good job we've got something to keep us going. Off to do a bit of gentle deadheading next.

Me neither, Lesley. I just open the threads I like and hope for the best.

OH in a flab because our friends are coming for dinner. He keeps saying things like
" but he's a proper chef, he's going to hate my food"
No cleaner this week so he's in " headless chicken " mode.
I'm going out in the garden to get away.
We're also heading the barbers and the window guys are coming to re-seal the ridge of the conservatory later . Busy day, ( by my standards)
Weekend beckons folks. Enjoy
