In a good mood today as its my last day at work until I have a week off! Yippee! been a. Very long time coming with a lot of stress thrown in so very much looking forward to it! Unfortunately I have to get through my longest day first!
Hope all are well and warm! Looking forward to extension pictures Steve! We have one more room and the hall of the basement to go and then we are done also!
Glad to hear the Hostas have arrived safely! Have a lovely holiday!
Great news about the TV Dove! Now you will be able to watch all those awful reality programs that are so far from reality......that you so like!
Love and well wishes to poorly OH's, chicky and DD, glad Shadow has settled in DD x
Sorry to hear about your uncle Panda but glad your loving your new job x
Best wishes to your son Runny and all your family xx
Hi to those who are looking in but don't feel like posting.
I'm back to the clothes shop today, bought mum some new Bridget's yesterday and I fetched the wrong colour
Edd my MIL used to buy cheap coffee and because she didn't take sugar she used to put a pinch of salt in it to kill the bitterness. Well at least it tasted better than the CAMP liquid stuff
Ooh love the pic Lesley.....one of my favs Christmas will be extra special this year Lesley, she's such a little poppet. We are besotted......and i'm sure she knows that already
Hope all poorly peeps are feeling a little better today.
Very grey and still here, but at least it's a positive temperature 3°! Still haven't finished planting the pots on the kitchen terrace, not sure if I will today, forecast is drizzle.
Hope Hosta is enjoying his holiday and, Wonky, have a lovely week. Will you be relaxing or decorating?
Didn't know Dove likes awful reality programmes! I quite like some of them Good for ironing in front of.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Absolutely BL - a bit of a Judge Judy fan - but at least I know that her reality is far removed from real life and she knows it's just Show Business. Can't stand any of the others tho - Jeremy Kyle should be banned from tv for ever! Talk about exploitative
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Back from painting/mending/sleeping/walking/eating/doing jigsaws in the cottage. Scotland was lovely (as usual!) even if there was only one dry day in the fortnight... when it looked like this:
and this
and a friend looked in
-probably the same friend who knocks down the garden wall from time to time. Anyway, I had a good time, and got all the essential jobs done.
So much news to catch up with!
RB, so sorry to hear about your son; best wishes for a full recovery. xx
DD and Chicky, hope your OHs are behaving themselves and continuing to improve.
Panda, so pleased you're happy in your new job. Sad news about your uncle though - hugs to you and your mum.
Wonky, enjoy your holiday!! You've certainly deserved it.
Hosta & Mr H - hope the knees are having a good rest in the sun...
Dove, I'm with you on Jeremy Kyle. Can't stand the feller... My guilty TV pleasure is "escape to the country" type programmes but only when OH is out!
SGL, grandchildren are wonderful, aren't they! Ours are coming from Ireland for Christmas, hooray!
I'm catching up with jobs today (OH has a blind spot about hoovering!), then I'm off to the NE tomorrow for the day, to see my Mum (who by all accounts is doing as well as we could hope) and catch up with my sister.
I'm still having to borrow OH's laptop so my postings are likely to be sporadic. Apologies to those I haven't mentioned, and whose news I've missed...
xx
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Been here 48 hours before finding out they're UK time - one hour. oops.
OH has walked to the town for a wee look. No chance of my knee holding up for that sort of nonsense.
Couple sitting next to me are reading out UK's weather forecast and laughing heartily.
What is it with folk and phones? Monday night table of 6, at least 5 phones in play at any one time. The only time they spoke to each other was to compare what was on their phones.
Last night a couple with a little , maybe 3 year old. Mum did not put her phone down once, eating single handedly. When the kid finished dinner and got bored of being ignored, started to wander about. Mum's answer? get out an iPad, stick on a cartoon and stick in front of kiddy.
Hooe the knee brace does the trick Dove. It will probably take a while to get used to it. Wonky a week of freedom sounds exactly what you need.
KEF my Mum and Dad are soldiering on despite the aches and pains. I rearranged their kitchen cupboards as they are both struggling to reach the top shelf. I wish I lived nearer but am glad that they have very good neighbour's who deal with putting the bins out and take Mum shopping. Hooe that your Mum is doing OK and will be happy with the exchanged 'Bridget's'.
OH is out with the car so I decided to walk to the Post Office and shops. Not the best idea as my foot soon got really sore and my other ankle started getting shooting pains. I must have looked like a poor old woman hirpling down the street.
Liri your views there are spectacular. Loved your friend too. Hope your visit to see your Mum goes well tomorrow.
Hosta get plenty of that lovely sun on your knee. I find it really weird that people would rather be playing with their 'phones than talking to the person next to them. Phones have their uses but it's so rude to use them at the table.

Liri, that cottage looks idyllic the area looks familiar but can't place it. Nothing beats being within the sight and sound of the sea.
