You won't believe this but I have just won the "Key" draw. This is a monthly draw at the local pub dining club. Everyone has an equal chance to win the key.We pay into a charity account for cancer research. Having won the right to select a key, only one key opens the lock. Tonight the odds must have been around 250 to 1. I won the key, and then selected the right key to open the box. inside was about £80. (The last winner won about £600 and he paid for all our dinners). it's strange but one key was willing me to pick it.... is that weird or not?
i'm sure someone more skilled than I will bake you a virtual cake! Hope you enjoy spending your £80 windfall on some little treasures for the rockery roundabout
I wondered where you were going when you said you'd won a key .
It was lovely to see Pam's garden on Garden Revival last night. So much hard work but well worth it. I'm inspired to take more cuttings now.
I'm expecting a BT engineer this morning. I haven't been able to receive calls since the 3rd but could make calls. I've done the tests suggested by BT by plugging other phones into the test socket but received a text yesterday to say their tests indicated an internal fault and if so would be charged £129. When I rang BT again a very nice man said 'to please to let the engineer come as it is very least that I will be charged'. Just keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm trying to work out why when my partner had to get up earlier go to work why he wanted me to wake up even earlier so I could wake him up. Man logic at its finest.
Happy Birthday Wonderboy, I hope you have a lovely day!
A change to my routine today - no walk this morning, I'm going for a longer one across the marshes at lunchtime (it's a Fast Day and I'll need something to break the day and to look forward to). Otherwise today's tasks include making some rough puff to turn the second half of yesterday's casserole into a pie for tomorrow, making an apple cake and making a coleslaw to go with cold rare beef from Sunday to make today's supper.
Oh, and I must do something about applying for my Bus Pass - watching Neil Oliver last night started me pondering about using it to travel the UK visiting interesting places
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
