Lizzie - meant to say on Shropshire gardens - look up the Morville gardens (NT) - I've read loads about them and would certainly pay a visit if I was up that way in June
My agastache always die in the winter. Lost 3 x Heather Queens this winter, yet it was a mild winter. Wet, but the bed is well drained. Not going to bother with them anymore.
Thanks KEF, I always worry a bit.
Have weeded, now there is room for more plants. I always leave some gaps for annuals in the beds, they are so pretty and long flowering.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Dry out at the moment and the lowest temp overnight was 10.1C
Hefty and friends have eaten all their supper and nearly emptied the water bowl.
The sky looks a bit overcast and the Met Office is talking about heavy rain starting soon and staying for most of the day - that'll be my water butts full too then - must look on the bright side
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Rain on its way here too - good job its an office day for me. Seeing the rose pictures on the Garden Gallery reminded me that there is a yellow one in full bloom on a house wall on my way to work - I'm sure thats not usual for May
