Dove funny you mention stocks: I've got some in the museum we can put back in action if we can catch KEFs undesirables. Sure people would have been subject to all kinds of abuse in them not to mention physical and verbal assult but that all adds to the experience when we explain where they went wrong (getting caught for starts).
Hey Jo, that's some wage!!!! Wow! But like you say can't put a price on happiness...you spend most of your life at work...ain't gonna be miserable there!
Clari I like your plan! Not gonna waste my tomatoes I've grown but don't mind throwing the cat litter tray contents if the Contribution helps!?!
Evening SGL, good to see you! Glad you have had some nice weather Flatters is much better thanks, he's totally agreeable to having his tablets...just as well as we have a four week course! Swelling has gone down already!
Nearly the weekend folks!
Early night for me as training before work tomorrow
Morning all, just had a coffee in bed. Bright sunny day out there. It looks as though the weather prediction might be right for a change. We'd better get the snake scarers batteried up and out to their sites around the house. There'll be movement at the station as they say.
We've got tortured willow here that I planted years ago. They were branches that had snapped off in wind from a neighbour's nature strip. I just poked them in the ground and left them to it. They've never looked back even though they've not been looked after, but then again they are near a dam.
jo, it's hard to reconcile how the salaries go isn't it? When Hubby retired 10 years ago, our son was just starting, and the son's starting salary was higher than Hubby's finishing salary! At least we don't have a mortgage, travel, clothes and other expenses to worry about.
happy hollibobs KEF - enjoy (would have been a sunglass smiley, but that one's gone awol from my choices ......its almost if it knows it won't be needed much in the next few months)
It's a lovely morning and I've got a drive out into the sticks to pick up an ebay win for a friend down in Cornwall. Not sure how big the box will be - if we can we'll take it down to Cornwall with us, if not we'll store it here until she can come up for it. It looks just the day for a drive into the autumn countryside
Wonky, sounds as if you had a lovely day yesterday - and there's very few things as good as being happy in your work - I remember how people used to envy our friend the toymaker for being able to make a living out of doing what he loved.
Pat, that looks beautiful - do you have fish in there? I used to like a bit of quiet fishing, many years ago - a good w ay to see wildlife, sitting very still by some water.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning Dove and Chicky, evening Pat and morning to everyone thepat follows!
Yes Dove, a loively day yesterday. Training this morning, manual handling refresher...so pointless box ticking so we don't get legal when we hurt our backs!
Exhausted and could do without cousins wedding tomorrow!......,I'll enjoy it when we get there and be delighted for her but weekends are short enough as it is!
Dove, no fish, just long necked turtles and yabbies. (That's if the cormorants have left any). We were told when we first had the dam made, that fish needed more depth than this one. The photo was supposed to demonstrate how big the willows have grown, but I agree it's a nice photo. Hubby has a good eye for photos, I must admit. Hello everyone belatedly. I've actually been outside gardening today - cloudless and warm. It's amazing how being outside lifts your spirit. Roll on spring!
