    Morning all.

Flippin' 'eck there's been a lot to read through.

Had the most wonderful meal last night at friends' house. I had to round up a new chicken who escaped from the pen. They only got her yesterday and the others hadn't noticed the electric fence wasn't working, but she pushed her way through.

My friend is the wine specialist at Waitrose and we just had to sample , erm 5 different wines.

Left at 12.15 with a freshly baked plaited loaf.

I'm eating it now, it's sensational. All seedy and lots of bits.

Happy Birthday Verdun. I hope you have  lovely day. Isn't the weather wonderful again?

I've even opened the windows indoors, first time in about 3 months.

Re Poldark, a little hirsute form my tastes. but if he asked nicely..image

Hubby leaving Surrey shortly so I'd better tidy up a bit.image

Enjoy this wonderful weather one and all.

    Devon.
  • Hosta, he could always shave it off.........but I rather he didn't image

Glad you had a good evening.

  • Pat i think Selkirk is nordic but some say it came from the locals who were called sels and had they're own church of sorts Sels kirk became selkirk dont know which version correct. William wallace was said to have been made Gardian of scotland in the old kirk o the forest and Rabbie Burns wrote the Selkirk grace, a prayer said at nearly every Burns supper.  Some hae meat and canna eat,And some wad eat that want it,But we hae meat and we can eat,Sae let the Lord be thankit.

If I were that way inclined, Poldark would be fine. As I am not, I would be more than happy with his OH!

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

  • Dove and WW, may not be same abscess but also could have someone else's tooth or claw in there...

Supernoodle, I was worried that the puller wouldn't work on the beds as it looked like down force was needed to rock it out. Thanks for the field test!

Yep, I suppose he may well have been defending his patch - particularly now WW has made it so nice image

  • Some cats never learn. There is an old saying 'if cats stopped fighting, vets would be broke'. You have no idea how many repeat offenders I see every few weeks...

The house has been bleached, my supplies of detol wipes and hand sanitiser running low (I always have some in my bag: working with children has taught me to TRUST NOTHING), vitamin C tablet taken, litre of orange juice consumed... I always try to wash my hands as often as I can and wipe down surfaces to avoid contamination but my immune system seems to be really quite poor since my Celiac diagnosis.

WW cats aren't always the cleverest of creatures! Mind you Reggie is still making very slow progress on his paw healing but we're almost to the stage where we might be allowed to have very short w.a.l.k.s. Mind you as Steve mentioned repeat offenders it surprised me how many of the dogs we recognised on our daily trips to the vets to get dressings changed: I'm convinced some of them must have had a back hander going on with the insurance companies!

Steve my Dentist said if people stopped eating bags of Pork scratchings and crackling off a pork joint he'd be broke image

I once asked him why he became a Dentist I can't think of a worse job other than a Chiropodistimage

Take a bow image He said he wanted to be vet but he wasn't clever enough image
