Sounds good Fairy. I haven't done any hill walking in Scotland - probably about time I did before the legs give up altogether!
Christmas pud (we're allowd to mention that woed now as it's stir-up Sunday).
At the risk of starting an acrimonious debate, I like it with custard. Proper Bird's custard made with milk and the powder out of a cardboard drum; none of that continental eggs and cream nonsense....
Morning everyone. As usual we're awake before 7am because HRH needed to go out and is now snuggled back on her bed asleep while we're wide awake. Der!
We loved Adele. She sounds really natural and that laugh of hers was enough to make us laugh as well. I thought Mr Norton did a very good show. There was a show before it here with one of our own TV presenters interviewing Adele which was also very good, so we had a long evening of Adele. It was a sort of "day in the life of" show.
Im curious about the "Aussie Jungle" reference. Totally in the dark there.
Steve thanks for suggestion of spending the day gardening - it probably will happen, too, but we'll probably go for a drive somewhere. Can't see much out there at the moment - fog. The result of warm soil and cool air, I guess. It's cardigan temp this morning.
loved the photos of the mountains. Everything is so clear.

I love 'powdered' custard Steve - not with my C'mas pud though. I have cream. I could eat it all day
We have the best hills Steve - don't let anyone try and tell you otherwise... unfortunately, the weather isn't always like that
Pat - she's so talented it's frightening. Everyone loves her too - a rare thing to achieve. The jungle is the celebrity thingy which they have in Australia. They ship out some z list 'celebrities' and make them do stuff, then people vote them out. Or something like that!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That's for you too, Pat. Dove had one earlier and found it satisfactory. (Presumably you can't boil a kettle? Or do you have one that goes on the stove?)
I haven't seen that show, but it sounds a bit stupid, to me. Our latest bit of hopeless viewing includes an Aussie Biggest Loser. We spend most of the time criticisimg everything that goes on in it. Just like Goggle Box. Makes us laugh to realise how similar we are to those viewers.
Steve, I blame you for me fancying an early cuppa. If you hadn't put that photo up earlier, I wouldn't have thought of it so early. Our power is going off at 9.30am and re-connecting at 3.30pm - presumably in time for them to get back into town by 4 to sign off for the day. Won't comment on that particular timing!
We do have a portable two burner gas thingie which we bought a couple of years ago because we were getting a few storm induced blackouts at that time, but apart from trying it out, we haven't needed to use it since. I presume the little gas bottle is still viable. Should ask Hubby to test it again, just to be on the safe side.
Fairygirl, we might have crossed over each other. We've got the little gas burner if desperate. Just reminded Hubby that we should check the gas bottle and he thinks it's out of date, so we'll need to organise something for that.
The thermos has been filled so if we are here, we'll be OK for a hot drink. Not sure how Hubby will manage without his little coffee machine, though. We don't have instant coffee. Re. The BBQ we are currently in the bushfire season so not allowed to have open flame things going outside, especially if it's a hot day.
That last photo is a bit like what we have here at the moment. Can't see very far.

Me too
but only on an as and when basis
Lovely pics Fairy
Stunning views

I sew for a living, so I don't do much at home, but I do use it for curtains and cushions etc.
I wonder if T'bird has a spare pudding...

might be time for a cup of tea. Catch you later.
We currently have "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" on. I believe its filmed somewhere near Brisbane.

Pat = that's a real pain about the power. We take it for granted nowadays I suppose. Do you have a BBQ that you could use to heat water ?

The hills often look like this at the summits Steve ...
Every season in one day is a regular occurrence - and that's in summer
Like in that pic!
