I really hope it works for you DD. You could do with something nice and new in your life I suspect. Improving your French, which I'm sure is fine already, and meeting the locals has to be a win win situation.

nice to see you back Bushman. I've just got out of bed. The worst may be passing now here in Devon, but it's been wild, even by local standards.

  • Clari - I'm afraid your boss really doesn't know what he's doing does he?  Does he realise that giving a cheque when there are insufficient funds to pay it can be considered Criminal Fraud???   He should have given you a Banker's Draft as soon as there had been a problem - if he didn't he's either stupid ... or he knows exactly what he's doing and is being disingenuous and fraudulent - sorry, but that's how it is.

Running a charity has specific legal responsibilities and he doesn't sound to me as if he's up to it.  You really should let the auditors know what's going on, for the sake of the charity and the people who give their money to further a cause you care about and work hard for.  I would be contacting the office of the Charity Commissioner too.

Even if he's a thoroughly decent but naive chap, he really shouldn't be allowed to continue to run a Registered Charity in such a hand to mouth way - he could end up in Court in serious trouble. image

Terrifically windy here, I am scared to walk in the garden, lift up one foot to take a step and practically bowled over. Maybe losing some weight wasnt a good idea after all.image

Tea with Hosta later, no going out though, maybe make it as far as the polytunels.

    Morning image

21 very healthy plants arrived yesterday. All need potting up so, after a little hwk, I shall be mainly in the potting shed ( the real one - not this one). First proper stint of the year - woo hoo image

Will probably take a bucket of tea with me - do you think Pat will notice if I snaffle a couple of those biscuits? Have to keep my strength up....

I've just seen footage of the storm in England and Wales. Wow!  No wonder you're all saying how horrible it has been.  I believe that lots of people are without power, so I expect there won't be much chatting on here.

    stay safe everyone.
