Morning all. Had rain overnight, so it's damp, but not cold currently 6C.
Stacey I'm not surprised you ache. Soz, belated HappyB to OH. Wish I was 40 again.
Dove I suddenly had a Verdun thought last night but didn't post as I'd had a couple of lagers and the two don't mix. Is it a Lacy, or a Cagney cardigan ?
Glad I'm not the only one who sometimes gardens in PJs
Bit more planting planned today - cyclamen for the stumpery (see, Dove, I listen to you!), my new hellebore friends, and some lily bulbs. Also need to move my pots of tulips into the cage - they are all showing now, and the deer will eat them unless they are locked up quick. And perhaps some potash for my roses.
but first, another cuppa and a forum catchup is required .....
OH and 1st son gone to play golf???? Well they said they'd try, as the GC is actually open. Think OH is going stir crazy not being able to play.
Still nice quiet few hours for me., beef bourguignon already started in slow cooker. A few house chores and then a relaxing day for me. Hopefully if the rain stays away for a few days I will be able to get out in the garden. Still far too wet at the mo.
Morning all. Looks like its a bit of a mixed bag weather wise then! Here its windy and grey so looks like more rain on its way - sounds like i've got similar weather conditions Verdun! Just got to plant my beetroot seed into modules and i'm done for the day I think.
I know what you mean Stacey - I feel a bit achy this morning too! Still - be good practise. Got 100 snowdrops to plant next weekend.
Chicky -have you got the Hellebore bug too? I went to a GC yesterday looking for three specific shrubs and ended up with two Hellebores in my trolley . Don't know how that happened
Oooo alium how wonderful.... I have nasturtium to plant around the garden swing and fence and I think I have decided to move the large raised bed to the front and full it with old Tom bags and soil from a compost heap that needs emptying and fill it with wild flowers, poppies, sunflowers etc etc I may even paint it in the summer so it doesn't look as boring! Right nasturtium planting here I go
