Start them young , Stacey. At least she's not scared of them, or eating them!
My great niece is called Tallulah, and I sent a packet of double opium poppy seeds to my sister(called Tallulah Belle Blush). I got the response"...and what am I supposed to do with these?" I guess she got the musical gene from my Dads side and I got the gardening gene from my Mum's.
Oh she loves being in the garden she's desperate to grow her carrots! I told her it was too early to plant them ATM and she said but mummy they will grow for me cause I will love them and water them every day!! She can name plants in the garden already and takes a lot of pride in her raised garden ( use to be the herb garden!)
i want her to know where her food comes from and I want her to enjoy growing things and understanding how things grow... Then I want her to have a gold medal garden at Chelsea lmao!!!
Good morning all It seems I missed a lot of cake and celebrations yesterday evening as I was concentrating on lacy knitting.
Temp down to 0.9C overnight - the forecast is dry for this morning with rain this afternoon - I might get some gentle hoeing done on the Shady Bank this morning - it's never too early to catch those germinating weed seeds
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all.... Oh do I ache today lol.... Cold here last night as well dove. Bill I tell him that all the time but as he's younger than me he mocks me for being old I prefer wiser lmao!!!! The sun is breaking through the trees looks like it could be a nice day today hurrah!!!! Better clear up down the bottom and I have decided not to plant the heuchera ATM as I don't want to cram too much in the bed ( something I'm usually guilty of!!!) now just what to do with the biggest raised bed structure! Husband suggested putting it out the front and planting wild flowers!!! I'm not opposed to that idea but can't decide
I must get on over the next few days and plan out the patch we're going to concentrate on next, under the biggest ash tree - and also the new bed at the front of the house - then I can put a spade in OH's hands
