  • The sound of next door's windscreen being scraped - I'm so glad I've retired - just over two years ago I'd have been out there doing that ...

Also think the roads are slippery - we're not far from a main road and the big hospital, and I've heard the sirens of emergency vehicles several times already this morning -  thoughts with everyone heading to the salt mines today ((hugs))  take lots of care.

Morning all - we've decided to share the cold weather with you all. Positively mild here compared to the last few days  image

Glad you got your power on a bit earlier Pat. Hubby can get his coffee machine on then?  image

Steve - we complain about it constantly, but the rain's what makes our lovely landscapes isn't it? Couldn't bear to live somewhere arid and dusty.

Hosta timed it just right Dove. Unfortunately, it'll probably be worse when he gets back!

T'mill for me, so I'll have a quick look round before  I go. Wrap up warm everyone  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

We had a slight frost yesterday,  the remaing dahlias went black overnight and collapsed. This morning the garden is white all over.

Hubby went to Cockermouth in Cumbria at silly o clock this morning. I did warn him to take a shovel with him but he's adamant he won't need it. I was going to do a bit of Christmas shopping today, but I might abandon that for a day by the fire.

  • OH says we need to go to B&Q later image
