Ahh - of course - I forgot about the bushfire situation. Not something we have to think about up here!  As long as you have something to keep you going image

Did anyone see the programme about Ireland tonight? Stunning coast line. Wish they'd showed more of Dingle though. They just showed a potato competition. After OH No1 died years ago I took my daughter there for a riding holiday. We'd both been suffered from stress and loss and weren't getting on well. We had a lovely time, galloping on beaches and riding over a mountain, just what we needed.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    When are you off Hosta?

Hope you have alovely holiday if I don't 'see' you before you go image

We 'watched' the Ireland programme too BL - 'fraid I zzz'd off during the potato bit (too much food & wine in front of the fire) - but OH really enjoyed the programme. Woke up for Monty - good series. My 2 main interests are gardening & history so this programme suits me just fine!

Can't stand 'Celebrity' - usually only recognise 1 or 2 of the participants & always think there is an element of animal / insect cruelty with some of the stunts.

Steve - custard & Christmas pud - thou art a heathen! - lovely thick Jersey cream is the only way to go (and none of that flavoured nonsense either!)

Time for sleeps now. Hope the power's not off for long Pat. Nite all.

Everything is white and sparkly out in the front garden - the first frost of the year - Hosta timed his holiday just right!

The temperature in the back garden is   -0.2C

Good morning Dove. Brr that sounds awful.

We'Ve had a strange sort of day - warmish but bit windy and needing to carry a cardigan. I took a couple of photos of my neighbour's paddock this morning because he's been harvesting hay for the last couple of nights. I put them on the camera site. His wife told me that he'd harvested 90-100 large bales on his paddock as well another neighbour's place. No wonder he was over ther into the early hours of the morning.
