Lily, that is so sad, keeping everything crossed and positive thoughts for your friend.

Allium, I thought the same as Verdun but he beat me to it.....what we could start though is an envy thread.  At the moment. I have greenhouse envy, seed envy and snowdrop envy image

Talking of Dahlias, I gave one away today in Lidl, there was one left on offer, it looked beautiful (Dark knight I think it was called), a lady who got talking to me loved it and loved dahlias so I let her have it, after all she knows them better than I do.  So that was my good dead for the day.....although I regret it slightly now image

Anyone on Vino tonight see as it's weekend eve?  image

Tracey- love Dahlias too. We have about 15 potted up in the GH at the moment. imageLooks like more border needs digging out. imageWe grew our Dahlias from seed. Think last years one was Yankee Doodle Dandy. Thought it was such a great name had to buy some seeds to try.image

This was like a bulb, is that a seed? That sounds double Dutch, what I mean is are Dahlia seeds just big or do they grow into a bulb (can they do that?).  Anyway, it's gone now but. I may go back and see if they get another delivery.  If I'm meant to have one it will be there image
