Did think of a pig but not sure what the neighbours would think! For that matter my garden wouldn't stand it either. there are pigs put in the local wood round about  now, but no ponies.

Will just have to keep raking and binning, once the bin has been emptiedimage

    Lovely pics Bev.

A really relaxing day, can't remember the last time...must be the pills kicking in! Looked at and walked around the garden a few times but found nothing to do, well nothing I wanted to do anyway! Have managed to tidy up, entertain 11yr old without traumatising him to turn TV off ALL day and been to deliver him to my mum's for a sleepover. And sent off a CV for a job that doesnt exist but friend can put in a good word.

Not sure about watering in the new greenhouse, if anyone can help

The shelves are such that I can't tip the watering can up properly (it's a 'spacesaver' GH so I can't walk in) .Are there any devices or tips, or do I just have to keep taking each tray out?

Also when should I stop watering for the winter?

Kid free night so off to the pub for tea.image

  • Use a dribbling hose?  image

    Damp, not wet in winter.

Clueless, don't like calling you that!  Not sure about when to stop with pellets, I don't usually bother in garden afer first frost, you do see frozen / well fosted slugs. Plus all the wet and pellets are washed away. The things that go in GH, I put very few pellets on the floor for those devils that enjoy the warmthimage

MrsG good luck on job hunt. I usually just feel the weight of my GH pots and give them a drop if I think they need it. Not often needed from now on in Yorks. I'm careful because it's more harmful to over water than under water. Plus it gets so damp in a unheated GH.

Thanks, will water into tray and check its all gone before putting them to bed, then prob stop watering soon. Its going to be tricky in summer when they do need regular watering I think.

Son had halloween party last day of school last week, was abfab! We stayed for the fun. `Joyful earache` when kids with special needs take to the mic is all I can say! image A complete riot of well meant  laughter!

Right lipstick needed then im off out. Night all.
