I just have grass Dove - mine aren't posh enough to be lawn
Although maybe the bit I'm putting in the back garden could be lawn....perhaps for a spot of croquet on a warm evening...
Crochet more like
I didn't say that mine are grass lawns - they're a good mix of fine grass, moss, prunella, wild marjoram, and daisies at the back, and in the front one we have stronger grass, daisies, dandelions and three-cornered leek The wildlife love it - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all nice sunny morning here, almost perfect for starting a blitz on the weeds i'd love for it to dry out a bit more. Can i bury grass?
bought a dutch hoe kit on friday €5 for the head and €5 for the handle. The ready made ones were around €20 think its probably going to be my tool of the day as i uproot the grass which is trying to take over my beds. nice to see some of my plants starting to thrive again. I must have loads of seeds lying dormant waiting to poke through just need to get the grass out so they have a fighting chance.
Good to see you Blackest - would be great to see pictures of your garden 1 year on - if i remember rightly, this time last year you were tackling loads of new projects
The last time I tried posting on here it didn't appear so I'll try again!
Can't get into the garden yet because it's the kids swimming lesson but later I'm hoping to finally finish preparing my last flower bed for seeds. There's a dirty great storm cloud in the sky though so we shall see.
Speaking of Tulips, mine in the ground are mostly out but the ones in a pot are only half way up -weird.
Has anyone tried the "mowing a path but not the rest" approach to grass areas (can't really call mine a lawn either,) I was thinking of trying this in the sunny/formal part of the back garden ala Monty...
