lily - I think we appreciate those sorts of days because so often the hills are shrouded in mist and rain - and it's not just at 3 or 4,000 feet either!
It's why people come to Scotland - unfortunately 'the midge' and the rain can be a bit off putting!

I'd normally agree Bushman - but after the never ending bog trot in torrential rain and hail at Beinn a Ghlo recently - I might feel a little differently...

I totally agree Fairy but it makes you appreciate being able to slide into a steaming hot bath and disappear under the bubbles ahhhhhhh bliss. Unless your camping of course but have to say my days for tents are behind me now. Forgot to ask did you do all three summits?
Yup made that mistake once an only once fairy. Forgot to pack a change of clothes an got a real soaking. Drove home wearing a towel!!! good job it was dark

We go past Marham on the way to MIL's in south Lincs - we're just off the A11 on the south-west fringe of Norwich near the river and marshes.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Stayed on base at RAF Marham. I was in the ATC when i was younger.

Ladies any day in the hills is a good day but sun on your back certainly is nice

No camping for me Bushman. I like my en suite facilities! The two and a half hour journey home didn't help ...good job I had clothes to change into!
