Dove -DON'T PEDAL BACKWARDS !!!!! You'll end up on the floor !
At a wild guess your right handlebar will have about 7 gears that you can move up and down gently, with only a slight difference between them, whereas the left handlebar will have 3 settings which make the 7 all high, all medium or all low. You will manage perfectly with the lefthand set on medium all the time until you get more adventurous. To change gear you have to keep pedalling
It's been a lovely day here so I've managed to do plenty of weeding. Just had a long soak in the bath to try and alleviate the aching muscles I'm expecting tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestions about 1471 for the doctors but the phone would have shown the number if it was possible to just call back. It's the same for a lot of organisations - their number isn't readily available to the call recipient.
OH couldn't make out the names either. I just hate to think of somebody waiting anxiously for medical test results and the doctor trying to get in touch with him urgently. It was the doctor himself calling and he stressed the urgency at least 3 times in the call
On a brighter note - glad to hear WW's day went well & Clari's pup is OK.
Very best wishes and good luck to Panda for tomorrow.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Learned to ride a bike when I was 50, never been confident though and after falling into a very, very deep ditch decided enough was enough and gave it to my daughter. Four wheels for me from now on.
Glad Wonky had a good day Dove, hope her arm feels better.
Been gardening today and finally got round to tidying up the front garden after the hols.
Hello , lovely evening , I too didn't learn to ride a bike until late 40ish and didn't like riding on the country lanes around hear , so gave the bike away , strictly 4 wheels or 2 feet
just had dinner 6 different veg , all home grown , including purple cauliflower which kept is colour
Chicky, thanks for the clarification - I seem to have been doing it more or less right I quickly worked out that pedalling backwards was no longer needed
Amazing sunset this evening
Must be nearly my bedtime See you in the morning folks ...................

Hopefully Topbird, the Doctor will try again and get the right number next time. Or the person concerned will phone his surgery/hospital.
No other meaning Lily - the road is called the Trollstigen, or the Troll's Way - so he thought it a fitting trophy
pleased to hear Wonky had a good first day - they're always the worst
. Hope Runny Jnr had similar
