We might be related Lizzie. My family were originally from Norfolk ..... although, train drivers, tailors and postmen.....so perhaps not moving in the same circles as the Mayor of Norwich
I had a great view of Ben Lomond on the way lily - her shoulders and 'head' in the early morning sun, with her ankles sitting on the loch shrouded in fog . Five minutes later you couldn't see the loch, never mind the other side of it! It was pretty severe until I reached Crianlarich/Tyndrum when it started to shift.
Didn't stop a dips**t overtaking me - with no lights on of course. The numberplate was TP 81. No prizes for guessing what those letters stand for...
Just as well I waxed my boots chicky - it's a bit of a boggy slog - not much path!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just watching the young girl on Snowdon Panda. Brings home just how much we often take for granted. Descents are often harder than ascents - even when you have all your faculties. What an achievement - completely humbling. The little lad with brittle bones is incredible too. What a contrast with that no mark in the fog today.

Way too tired to read now, walking Flynn then early to bed for me.
Drove middle son to shops after work today because he needed a computer part and used a dual carriageway and a large round about which was my biggest fear, no problem now then lovely meal at table in bigger room after room swap
Jo - I have no problems on the hills - exposure, narrow ledges, scrambles etc - then I usually go on my a*** on a bit of grass twenty minutes from the car !

Wow, spectacular photos Fairy. It'd almost be worth trying to walk around our hills if we had views like that.
Hosta, you poor thing. Comedian Hubby said "is she in the poo, is she?" Not always as funny as he thinks he is. I'm sorry to hear about it. I hope you haven't damaged anything.
there was something else I was owing to respond to as well, but it's a page back and it's pointless trying to look - I'll lose what I've written.

Gorgeous views Fairy - well worth the boot cleaning
Wow lovely views Fairy, and much better weather than we had here. The thick fog didn't lift all day. A very damp dismal day.
Just realised its November 1st today
too late to say pinch punch!

She impressed me too Fairy, esp as I was sat on my bottom. I agree, descents are always the hardest part
