W'song - it's ok, I only cut the green stuff on the ground!
The Hakenochloa was quite small when I put it in about 18 months ago. It's a good size now - think the extra rain this summer has helped it too. I have Spartina in the same bed with it - it's a grass you don't see often but it's a good contrast in height as well as shape. I'll see if I have a pic of it.
I lean on the trolley like an old woman too Lesley...just weariness usually...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yep, BL, Dordogne is definitely browning by the day... meteo France keeps promising rain, but I ain's seen a drop since my visiting uncle left at the beginning of June (I wonder if he stole all the clouds?).
Does your Uncle live in Scotland then Katherine?. Shouldn't moan as it's been fairly good today with a high of 17c. I hope you get some (just enough) soon.
Rb my feet are up and the bad one looks great - like a young foot with no creases or veins showing. Mum's still not great but is taking the tablets.
I shall pour myself a small glass of something and relax. Then I might have another small glass
Rb I mentioned that to the doc (as I'd been looking things up - as you do) but he didn't seem to think so as it wasn't red enough. He didn't rule out arthritis. May have a blood test in a few weeks. Are you telling me not to have that drink?. If gout is worse than what I've got then I really feel for you and your OH.
Re the quiz thread - which is your favourite picture of Poldark then?.

Just got back from seeing Jesus Christ Super Star in Lincoln Cathederal
Abosultely Brillant
You'll never stop me now that I've discovered the smiley faces.
JC Superstar in Lincoln Cathedral - I am very envious GWRS!
I've seen that cathedral on various TV shows. I bet the sound was wonderful. Goosebumps, I imagine.
