Hi Steveimage.  What kind of boat did you get?  You should have gone for a barge and you could have had a container garden on itimage.

Ha - yes - I've considered that but the salt spray would do for most things I think.

It's a Westerly Centaur - most successful British yacht ever built, 1969  - 80; mine's 1975.  Lots more needs doing than I'd hoped but in most cases I can throw money at it.  Or time.

A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money.

    Thanks image

I might trail a fishing line when I'm out but I probably wouldn't want to eat anything that comes out of the water in the marina!

The local lobster-catchers would, I suspect, get a bit shirty if I started queering their pitch image

    Good afternoon all,

Glad your ordeal is nearly over Wonky.

I know we have lots of dog lovers on here. My daughter took her 14 week old bulldog puppy on the beach yesterday for the first time after her vaccinations kicked in. Unfortunately a labrador fell on her while they were playing and she has broken her front leg above the elbow. She is registered with Pets at Home vets and after xrays they said she couldn't be operated until tomorrow  because she couldn't have any more anesthetic. She was sent home with painkillers without it even being strapped up. I think it's scandlous. Their  website.  says 'we look after your pets like our own'. I'm sure they wouldn't leave their own dogs in so much pain for two days.I 've been to see her this morning and being a little wriggly puppy she doesn't realise it's going to hurt when she moves. I just hope she doesn't do any more damage until it can be treated.

Pam, ghastly story, maybe try another vet? Our family now live in Moscow and took their pets. Now discovered the one being treated for IBS in Hing Kong actually has a tumour, how did they miss it? The vet knew how to charge tooimage

Verdun ok I believe you.  I adore peach icecream which is really what you need to make and share it out!
