Lunch was a success image S&P pie was delish with loads of lovely gravy image Had to laugh though when I realise (at serving) that I'd forgotten to put the potatoes on image Normally they are under the bamboo steamer, but for some reason I failed to put them in the water..... good job I did loads of veg image Pavlova was too big for a plate so we ended up making marshmallowy Eton Mess - very very yummy image Still some left if anyone fancies it? image And we ate in the garden image

Hope everyone else has had as lovely a day image

Hi guys, finally read back, thanks to BL and chicky for extra support of my question image

It really helps to know what everyone else is doing

Been really busy on my holiday weekend, had middle son down for roast pork dinner which I must say was the best I've ever had. Am I allowed to say that even if I was the cook? image

Played games had lots of fun today and finally sorted out my problem of where to plant one of my homeless shrubs at the end of the summer

Chilling with the TV now,  night night allimage

Went to my son No 2 for lunch today. Had a BBQ. Lovely day. Their baby boy was 1 in May and the 2nd is due very soon. When we got home Son No 1 rang. Their house sale is moving along and they hope to move to the new house in August. Then I had to do watering. So not had time to post today, until now.

Your girls are gorgeous Frit  - yesterday was obviously a very special dayimage

Great view Fairy - I would have done the extra 5 miles tooimage

Feeling a bit whacked....looking back I can see why ...planted out 80 plants grown from seed (i counted the pots at the end ....numbers girl meimage), went to visit an NGS garden (wonderful ...but maintained with the help of a full time gardener and a groundsman .... So cheating reallyimage), altered a prom dress for Chicklet (yes, another one), cut down my euphorbia cymes (for those who watched GW), and moved a few plants into more PPP's.  So quite a busy dayimage

    Vino time now....image

    Evening all,

Love the dresses Fritillary and lovely girls too. image

Everyone seems to have had a lovely home cooked lunch, I am afraid I served up a selection of leftovers and no dessert - garden is taking up all my time. Hopefully next Sunday evening when it is all over (for a fortnight - doing it again on the 12th July) I shall have time for a proper meal and sit still long enough to enjoy it. image

Feeling a bit better about it all. the worst bits have been tamed, albeit with a strimmer in places (needs must - short term fix) and today I have been actually prettifying rather than troubleshooting - and I got the last of my annual gap fillers in at last. image

OH ventured out to help and then went back inside to see if he could order a battery operated hedge trimmer online, that was the last I saw of him.  image He has also invested in a 'pool robot' and has spent a great deal of time watching it do its automated cleaning thing- me thinks he is missing the point of this supposedly time saving piece of kit, surely one should do something useful with the time saved - but what do I know. image

Anyway, baking day tomorrow, doing cakes that can be frozen for Sunday so don't have to fret about them nearer the time. Also have to bake for school fete on Saturday, I have managed to get myself stuck on a jam jar tombola stall for the afternoon, just what I needed the day before The big Open Day - not. image

All good fun, nothing like a bit of pressure to get the adrenalin going. image

Good evening all and good days to you all tomorrow in case I miss you all.
