Crikey, what a lot of posts! I went out to Harvest Festival lunch and pages have been written. No wonder site went funny after Matty's post, it couldn't cope!
Lovely lunch, one young mum with a baby brought a huge chocolate cake covered with Maltesers. Yum
Hopeless weekend for gardening, poured and poured.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Was going to take photo of the choc cake in previous post "Lovely lunch, one young mum with a baby brought a huge chocolate cake covered with Maltesers. Yum" but it went so fast this was all I took!! Don't know what the red balls were, my bit only had Maltesers and grated chocolate.

Absolutely tipping it down now - we had about an hour of dry earlier, but it was too wet underfoot (and under the dripping ash trees) to do anything ... so there's an Oxtail casserole and a big pot of spiced red cabbage, both simmering slowly in the oven for supper, together with a tray of tomatoes in olive oil, roasting slowly.
Almost all the toms are red now - certainly no green tomato chutney being made here this year - good job we've still got plenty from last year
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well, caked out now. Its still pouring down. The patch of garden to the side of the house is flooded. Quite dark too, we've had to put the table lamp on. Hope the weather brightens up a little next week I haven't put my bulbs in yet!!

Think I'll go back in the garden and take a headache pill. Too much mambo jumbo at the moment.

Bit feeble compared to Dove's meal. Have Coleemaan Chicken & veg. AKA chicken casserole in a Coleman's mix. Been lazy today.
I've made a batch of Jamie Oliver's Gummy tomatoes..so not totally sloven.
