Good Morning, late start as I watched a film until after 1am and then couldn't sleep.
10C here and raining, so is that the start of a heatwave?
Lily hugs & emotional support on offer here.
Fairy so hope you don't get snow.
My Dad was also in the RAF late 40's & early 50's but spent more time in an RAF hospital and then came home. I don't know a lot about it, but I did hear many times about how he saw Diana Dors at a railway station
Rather grey and damp here at the mo, but sunis forecast for later.
Thank you Dove, she has had such a terrible time these last few months I just hope they have caught it early enough. She is due for an operation in a couple of weeks.
Hope you have a lovely day with your son Dove.
Hope Lo sits still for you Stacey, must be quitfrightening for little ones when scissors come near their face.
Good afternoon everyone, got a week off and just browsing at all your wonderful cakes, i could eat a slice with a cup of tea mmmmmmm : )
The sun was out for my visit. We took the boys (3, 6, 8) to the swimming pool, which they love. Yesterday we were mostly in the garden. Helped daughter (No 1) weed 2 beds. She's bought lots more roses, incl. David Austin ones. She has about an acre, big grass area for boys to play on, lots of fruit trees, veg. garden, some flowerbeds and shrubs and now lots of roses. South of Poitiers, 2 1/2 hours from me in Dordogne.
I was wondering about putting some of my windowsill baby plants in the GH, but it was -5° this morning, sunny.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sorry Kef missed you there, thank you, much appreciated x
Tracey, meant to say your camilia looks lovely, pretty colour, what's it called? I used have one but it didn't survive the very cold winter a few years ago. But I think I put it in a too open space, which prob didn't help.
I must have missed Smiler's post yesterday, welcome Smiler, sometimes I read too quick when just catching up when having a brew (and no cake!)
Lily, my camellia is called Japonica. I didn't go out to get one but when I walk the dogs I sometimes pass a house that has this plant with beautiful pink flowers (I thought it was a variety of rhododendron!) and I didn't know what it was until yesterday when I saw the camellia, so got one.
Fairygirl, we have (had) a bit of sun, so I hung out the towels that are blowing nicely and back come the grey clouds......just preparing myself for the dash outside

Morning all. No work for me today but other things to do.
No heatwave coming here - they're forecasting snow for up here, even at lower levels.
Hopefully it'll be farther north of me but I'm not counting any chickens. Well, it make a change from rain...
Have a good day all.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Sun has come out - for now - had sleet and hail earlier
Oh well - washing's out - it can take it's chances..
