Do you think I'd win a prize for the biggest carrot at the local show?

Lovely photo, Chicky.  Looks a great place to lie & snooze...

Thanks Lesley and Chicky image It went ok, ending up saying more than I meant to, but only answered what I was asked image I'm not feeling confident, but then, I can't judge these things image

    Good morning all image

    WE HAVE A CRISIS!!! image

The door latch between the sitting room and the hallway is jammed shut!  The kitchen and living areas are on this side of the door. The downstairs loo, stairs, bathroom and bedrooms are on the other side of the door.  Thank goodness I was downstairs and on this side of the door when it happened! We are having to go out of the front door and round to the back door to access anything!  We've been running around the front garden in our jimjams and dressing gowns - we have got dressed now and OH has gone to work

I've phoned the Lovely Builder (it was 6.45  I didn't realise how early it was) and he's on his way image

We've tried levering it back with a dinner knife, and unscrewing it etc but to no avail. There are two of these oak doors with glass panels in the house - the other one is between the dining room and kitchen and that did a similar thing about a year ago - I think something in the latch had snapped - and the Lovely Builder rescued us and fixed it then. There's obviously a fault with that particular make of latch.

We've realised how fortunate it was that I was downstairs in the living area when it happened as we habitually leave the back door key in the lock! Must stop doing that!!!

Good morningimage.  Wet and windy start which doesn't bode well for the wall building that is due to start this morning.  They have delivered stone, sand and cement and son says it looks as though we live in Bedrockimage.

Congratulations on the end of exams in the chicky householdimage

Lovely little carrots Lizzie - restaurant sizedimage.

Hope you feel better soon Gg.  Rb, I'm fine again thanks and I think my iPad is playing up rather than the site.

    Have a good day everyoneimage

Oh Dove! I'm so glad you weren't trapped in the loo before your door decided to shut!

Well it was an VERY busy day at the museum yesterday: pretty much every vehicle on the lower floor was taken / pulled out and repositioned to move some inside that needed better protection and reposition others so you could see them better. Apologies to the people of Sheffield if we got in the way! Fortunately my Land Rover did most of the hard work so I'm not too shattered today. Very grateful I brought her!

Unfortunately Reggie turned ill again and upon my return it was quickly decided image that I'd be ripping the carpet up after we got home from the vets: vet doesn't seem too concerned and we've some more syrup to try to settle his stomach. Time for some more internet research I think!

Lilly - backs are funny things: a real flaw from an engineering point of view and no way near strong enough to support our demands. Seeing a specialist is the best thing you can do; no letting a gp tinker away with all the shiny gadgets available to them.

    Right... anyone for tea?

Hope you are sorted soon Dove - although the neighbours must think you are rehearsing for some sort of AmDram victorian farceimage.  Happy wall building Lesley love it when a plan comes togetherimageimage

Only a morning working today, as I am off to watch the tennis at Queens.  Was sad to see Nadal exit, i like him and his musclesimage  Might catch you all later when I am on my train.

Lesley K I am very excited about Thursday, however they come into Edinburgh and The Royal Highland is on so we will need to leave hours in advance to ensure we there on time. My back hates the car !!!!

Clari. I couldn't agree more, I am a very tall lady and wish I was short!

Chicky sounds like a good day, bet Chicklet having long lie, glad exams all done

its wet here today so it's cooking treats for Lily pillet and greenhouse pottering
